    MOWING TIME

I have a very small yard here in Kendallville, but my mother has great a lot to mow up in LaGrange County and I go up and ride the mowers with her. Frankly, I think I would like to do it by myself some day when she is in town and just make any pattern I wanted. Actually, I like circles. You start out making your smallest turning radius and then make an ever growing circle. You are free to daydream and you don't have to worry about mowing the same spot twice - just keep going around.

I do this when Mother is there, but she often horns in on my circles, creating areas that challenge my no grass mown twice policy. To tell the truth, I don't think she likes the circle method - She likes to select sections and mown them, nibbling her way at getting done.

Sometimes I will be cruising along in a circle and I will look up and see her aiming straight at me, pointing me off to another section. Gosh, that is annoying.
