WOW - 56 and a ESAA astronaut - but he's sick
I did not realize it but one of the astronauts on the space shuttle which linked to the space station (international, don'tcha know) is German and he's 56. That is only a little younger than I am. But he's sick. That's not good. He can't do his spacewalk, but they say it isn't life-threatening and that's good.Can you visualize me in space? No, you can't because there is no way I could sit on top of a rocket waiting to be blasted off without dying of fright. I guess that would be considered "more than sick" in "almost space".
Besides, I get motion sick.
