NICE INDIANA DAY
Sometimes it seems that nice weather days are pretty rare in Indiana. Ofter the day will dawn with sunshine and then clouds roll in by 11 am, dashing plans that have been made and maybe giving your mood a kick in the gut. Even if you are a lifelong Hoosier and have learned that the overcast can form quickly and therefore don't plan anything just becasue the day seemed so cheerful at 7 am, you can't help feel that physical letdown when things turn grey. But, yesterday . . . yesterday was a very nice day. It was clear and sunny and not really hot. You would have to be a real curmudgeon not to be somewhat uplifted by the atmoshere outside. I may be a curmudgeon, but I guess I have not totally perfected the state, because I did feel good cheer out in the air, and the sun.
We took the opportunity to do just a few things - swept off the mini decks and got the leaves out of the plot where the ferns are coming up. I pulled some leaves out that had gathered throughout the winter in the line of rose bushes that are against a garage wall. And we sat at the table that is out there - an old patio one on an 8 by 8 homemade platform and soaked in the spring. We being my granddaughter and I.
We had an impromptu grilling as well - hamburgers and chicken breasts.
Today, Easter, the sky is going back and forth between blue and grey . . . we shall see, we shall see.
