    VEGAN DIET FOR DIABETES 2

A Reuters story on the CNN news page has this headline: Vegan diet reverses diabetes symptoms, study finds and this first paragraph: People who ate a low-fat vegan diet, cutting out all meat and dairy, lowered their blood sugar more and lost more weight than people on a standard American Diabetes Association diet, researchers said this week.

Well, according to Wikipedia, the vegan diet which excluded animal products is now observed by about 0.2% of the adult U.S. population. That does not bode well for probability that this diet will be adopted voluntarily.

    NO MEAT
    NO FISH
    NO DAIRY PRODUCTS.

However, if it works as well as they say studies have shown, it may become the prescribed diet for diabetics . . . Well, the good thing is Peanut Butter is on it and whole wheat bread. I once said I could live on peanut butter . . . and someday I may be eating my words.
