SPARE THE ROD IN THE IDITAROD
Look at the story and see if you don't think this guy needs to be taken out and kicked himself.FIFTH GRADE GIRLS B-BALL AT NORTH SIDE
Yes, this morning at 9, the girls will be playing basketball at North Side; that week it was at the high school and at 8 am. I think I like the earlier hour; I have been up for about an hour now and if it were at 8, I would be home by nine. Okay, it's a nitpicking point, but I am a nitpicker and have a reputation to keep up. Oh, look, there's some nit over there . . . I must run and pick at it.I like quiet; some might think I am a quiet freak - maybe it is because I am old. I do not like loud TV's, music played by individuals in public rooms unless they are wearing earphones . . . Watch out, I am on a roll here.

HIATUS
As evident from the dates, I have just returned from a blogging hiatus during which I agonized ove the future of this blog and met with the board of directors regarding the direction it should take. We ate peanut butter sandwiches and explored many options; we drank some Diet Coke and ruminated; we fueled our brains with birthday cake - the sugar being consumed for its medicinal value. We realized that this blog lacks a "mission" and we have no mission statement; we are not striving for any better good.
Oh, well.

APRIL SNOW
Last evening it started to snow - it had spit snow all day - but as the day wore on, the flakes got serious about sticking. This morning when I drove Alison to work, the power lines were coated with icy snow and it was fortunate we had no wind to speak of during the night - or we might have awakened to light outside, but none within. Some pictures from this morning are in photo galleries along with pictures of my mother, Tiffany - the cat, and Sydney in the car to come home from Scott.

BLOGGING ON FRIDAY THE 13TH
What befalls a Friday 13th blogger? I don't know but the sky is already clouding up. I believe this is the day I should move ahead and promote myself to Bureau Chief of Indiana Territory and associated blogs. What bureau? I hear you ask. Okay. That hasn't been decided.Monday, April 09, 2007

I LOVE FISH TACOS
I didn't remember how much I had enjoyed a fish taco from Rubio's when I was first out here. I LOVE them. For awhile Tuesdays are going to be Dollar Fish Taco days at Rubio's; alas I fly back to Indiana on Sunday night/Monday morning.

WARNER-ROBINS in georgia, not on the ocean
Ah, well, last Friday Hibernator announced that he would be leaving San Diego for a year or two to get a business branch in . . . cough, cough . . . Warner-Robins, Georgia going. Actually, he didn't say Warner-Robins; he knew the word Georgia would zero it in for me since he has been travelling there frequently from Pacific Beach, California.I tried saying, "No, no, no" to stave off the news or perhaps make it go away, but he kept going. Yes, going all the way to . . . Georgia. Let's see, what don't they have in Warner-Robins? A beach, two Apple stores, a beach, UTC shopping mall and Fashion Valley, a beach, the ship used in Master & Commander, a beach, fish taco places, a Memoiral Day Marathon with Elvis impersonators, Trader Joe's, a lovely climate . . . and, oh yeah, did I mention a beach? That would be beach as in Pacific BEACH as in apartment about a mile and a half from the beach.
Not to mention miles and miles of public beaches in San Diego County.
